Raisin Sauce

Editor’s note: This is a tradition for some families to enjoy over ham or pork.
Makes 3 cups.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp corn starch
- 1 Tbsp cold water
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 cups water
Directions
1) Combine the cornstarch, cold water and lemon juice. Set aside.
2) Cook raisins, brown sugar and water until raisins are puffy and soft (about 20 minutes).
3) Add cornstarch mixture to the raisin mixture. Cook until clear, approximately three minutes.
4) Pour over sliced ham.
