Chairman Wade C. House of NOVEC will be joined on the VMD leadership team by Vice Chairman C. Michael Sandridge, representing BARC Electric Cooperative and Secretary/Treasurer George N. Goin, representing Central Virginia Electric Cooperative.

Virginia native Ella Jo Baker has been selected as the first Unsung Cooperative Hero in the Cooperative Hall of Fame, which is based in Washington, D.C.

For the world’s 3 million cooperatives, the fireworks will come a couple of days early. July 2 marks the 100th International Day of Cooperatives, and it represents an opportunity to put the importance of cooperatives front and center around the globe.

The Sixth Cooperative Principle is Cooperation among Cooperatives. It knows no borders, and that has never been truer than during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
